Testimonies

We'd love to hear your stories

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds Hebrews 10:23 & 24

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

If you have a testimony or story to share that tells of Gods faithfulness, we would love to hear it and share it with others on this page!

Let us know of a moment where He's met you beautifully or unexpectedly.

Tell us of your encounter with Holy Spirit at Mizpah or elsewhere.

It's so important to encourage one another and 'spur one another on' in our faith' as Hebrews 10: 23 & 24 explains.  It's never just for us - we are always to point to the Father, as Jesus exemplifies.

In Matthew 10:7 Jesus tells his disciples (thats us too!) to go and PROCLAIM the message that the kingdom of heaven has come near.  Freely you have received, freely give - blessed to bless!

Daily we experience Jesus in many ways, and someone needs to hear this.

I started coming to the Mizpah in late 2021, and it quickly became a place where my wife and I loved being in God’s presence. In late 2022, we went through a miscarriage, and during our time at Mizpah, we felt God calling us to let go and allow Him to heal us — and we did. I remember telling God that being part of Mizpah was something I would love to do if He allowed. Exactly year later, we found out we were expecting twins, and today we’re proud parents of twin boys. Now the opportunity to be part of what you are doing with this amazing ministry. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey and all the encounters I’ve had with God at Mizpah.

A reflection and testimony

I wonder? What is it that we miss when we don't make space and room? We cant afford to NOT pause and be still. Psalm 46:10

Have you ever been in one of those seasons where the intensity feels maxed out, the uncertainty looms large and you are facing life-changing decisions? That is the kind of season I am walking through right now. I feel like I write these words at least once a year but they remain true- this year did not turn out like I thought it would. And so I have been quiet and have withdrawn from many of the spaces I usually occupy. My time and energy have been focused on the tasks at hand, on making decisions and navigating change once more.

As the intensity reached another crescendo this week, I realised that I am too busy NOT to pause, and to take time to write and be still. Those emotions I had been trying to postpone until a more ‘convenient’ time were leaking through. So, I said yes to a writing day at the gorgeous Mizpah Retreat Centre despite the looming task list. I am so glad that I did.

I took time to grieve and pour out my thoughts on pages of my journal. I sat in silence surrounded by trees, water and ducklings. The tightness in my chest and stomach unwound. My breath came deeper. As is so often the way, I learned more about what I was thinking and feeling as I put pen to paper.

Are you also in the midst of a big season? When was the last time you paused to be still, took time out to reflect, and to give your emotions space? We are not robots. We need to create this time and space.
